동구청은 23일 “행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025년 주소정책 업무추진 평가’에서 우수 지자체로 선정돼 행정안전부 장관 표창을 받았다”고 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 전국 광역 및 기초자치단체를 대상으로 주소정보 정책 추진 실적 전반을 종합적으로 심사해 이뤄졌다.
행정안전부는 주소정보 홍보·주민 교육, 시설물 점검과 정비 실적, 정책 협력 수준 등을 주요 평가 항목으로 삼았다. 동구는 각 분야에서 고른 성과를 보여 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
이에 앞서 동구는 대구시 자체 주소정보 업무 평가에서도 최우수 기관에 올랐다. 이로써 중앙정부와 광역지자체 평가에서 모두 우수한 성적을 거두며 ‘2관왕’을 달성했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
행정안전부 장관상 수상과 함께 동구는 포상으로 특별교부세 4천만 원도 확보했다. 이 예산은 국가지점번호판 설치 확대, 노후 주소정보 시설물 정비 등 지역 주소정보 인프라 개선에 쓰일 예정이다.
