파주시가 30여 년간 운영해온 시립 주야간보호센터를 재건축해 치매전담형 돌봄시설로 새롭게 문을 열었다.
파주시는 22일 법원읍 술이홀로 832번지에 위치한 파주시은빛사랑채 개관식을 개최하고 본격 운영에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
이날 개관식에는 최병갑 파주시 부시장을 비롯해 시도의원, 지역 주민단체장 등 100여 명이 참석했다.

행사는 개관 유공자 표창 수여, 기념사 및 축사에 이어 색줄 자르기와 시설 내부 견학 순으로 진행됐다.
파주시은빛사랑채는 파주시 유일의 시립 장기요양기관으로, 법원읍에서 주야간보호, 노인일자리, 365어르신돌봄서비스 등을 제공해왔다.
그러나 시설 노후화로 어르신 돌봄 제공에 한계가 나타나면서 2023년부터 재건축 사업이 추진됐다.
공사 기간에도 문산읍 임시시설에서 서비스를 지속 제공했다.
재개관한 파주시은빛사랑채는 40명까지 입소 가능한 치매전담형 주야간보호센터로 운영된다.
기존 18명 수용 규모에서 2배 이상 확대되면서 더 많은 시민이 돌봄서비스 혜택을 받을 수 있게 됐다.
특히 그동안 파주 남부권에 치중됐던 치매전담 서비스가 북부지역으로 확대되는 의미도 크다.

최병갑 파주시 부시장은 "파주시은빛사랑채가 파주시 요양 서비스의 기준을 정립하고 전반적인 서비스의 질을 높여줄 것"이라고 말했다.
한편 파주시는 급증하는 노인인구에 대응해 노인복지시설 확충에 적극 나서고 있다.
올해 '운정다누림노인복지관'을 개관했으며, 2026년 하반기에는 '문산노인복지관' 개관이 예정돼 있다.
또 2027년부터는 두 번째 시립 장기요양기관인 '파주 시립 요양원(가칭)'의 실시설계 및 착공 준비에 착수할 계획이다.
