현대차그룹은 최근 ▲기아 스포티지가 중남미 신차 안전성 평가인 ‘라틴 NCAP’에서 최고 등급인 별 다섯을 획득하고 ▲현대차 디 올 뉴 넥쏘가 ‘유로 NCAP’에서 최고 등급을 받았으며 ▲기아 PV5가 상용차 업계 최고 권위의 상인 ‘2026 세계 올해의 밴’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

기아 스포티지는 이달 중남미 신차 안전성 평가 프로그램인 라틴 NCAP(The New Car Assessment Programme for Latin America and the Caribbean)에서 최고 등급인 별 다섯을 획득했다. 성인 및 어린이 탑승자 보호, 첨단 안전 기술 등 주요 평가 항목 전반에서 우수한 성적을 거뒀으며, 특히 구조적 강성과 능동형 안전 시스템 부문에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
이로써 기아는 K3, K4, EV4에 이어 스포티지까지 라틴 NCAP 최고 등급을 획득하며 중남미 시장에서 안전 경쟁력을 다시 한번 입증했다.

특히 현대차는 2018년 1세대 넥쏘가 수소전기차 최초로 유로 NCAP 별 다섯을 획득한 데 이어, 2세대 모델까지 최고 등급을 이어가며 수소 모빌리티 분야를 선도하는 브랜드 입지를 다시 한번 강화했다.
