2026년 새로운 한 해가 시작됩니다. 새해가 시작되는 시점에서 오늘날이라는 시대가 어떠한 시대인지를 묵상(黙想)해 봅니다.
필자(나)는 태생(胎生)적인 연유로 인터넷 1세대로 생존하게 됐습니다. 이는, 아주 중요한 의미가 있다고 생각됩니다. 한국은 인터넷 선진국가입니다. 인터넷 1세대이니, 제가 그런 나라를 만드는 일에 종사했다는 뜻입니다.
인터넷시대는 인공지능(AI) 시대로 이전되고 있습니다. 종이신문의 마지막 시대인 듯한, 그런 시대를 살고 있습니다. 종이신문 시대, 마지막일지도 모를, 신문 발행인 시대를 경험하고 있기 때문입니다. 왕성했던 종이신문 시대, 편집마감을 하는 날이면 밤을 꼴딱 새우는 때가 많았습니다. 그런데 인터넷 시대 인터넷 매체는 뉴스룸(편집국)이 따로 없어도 됩니다. 스마트폰 하나면 편집-보도가 가능해졌습니다. 높은 산꼭대기에서도 신문의 편집-보도가 가능합니다.
이런 시대에 '번개 리더십(⚡Flash Leadership)'을 제안(提案)합니다. "불확실성이 극대화된 AI(인공지능) 시대에, 불완전한 정보 속에서도 빠르게 판단하고 즉시 실행하며, 결과를 통해 실시간으로 방향을 조정하자는 게 이 리더십"입니다. 더 설명하면 “완벽한 계획보다 빠른 첫 움직임, 권위적 통제보다 속도 있는 신뢰, 장기 예측보다 즉각 학습을 중시한다”는 것입니다. 제가 제안-창안한, ‘번개 리더십’ 5가지의 핵심을 소개합니다.
[1]즉시판단 (Instant Judgment)=70% 정보면 결정합니다. 추가 분석은 결정을 미루는 변명이 될 수 있습니다. 지금 결정하지 않으면 기회는 사라집니다. 결정의 질보다, 결정의 타이밍(시간)이 중요합니다.

또한 현재-미래시대는 글로벌(國際化) 시대입니다. 곧 다양성(多樣性)의 시대입니다. 저는 매체를 경영하면서 다양한 정보를 빨아들였다고 생각합니다. 기사-정보를 매체에 유입-게재하는데, 그 어떤 사회적인 편견이나 장벽도 있을 수 없습니다. 제 매체도 글로벌 다양성 속에 존재하는 한 부속품임을 천명(闡明)합니다.
제가 오너(社主)인 브레이크뉴스는 '번개처럼 빠른 보도'를 지향합니다. 이런 결과, 구글 영문번역의 기사-정보 뒤에 첨부하기(2020년), 구글 제미나이(AI)를 이용한 보도자료 기사쓰기(2025년) 등을 실천하고 있습니다. 앞서가는 매체라고 자부합니다. 이는, 타(他) 매체보다 빠른, 번개 리더십의 실천 때문이라고 생각합니다.
