브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 삼양그룹(회장 김윤)이 연말을 맞아 사회복지공동모금회에 이웃사랑성금 3억원을 기탁했다.
29일 삼양그룹에 따르면 이번 성금은 삼양홀딩스가 1억원, 삼양엔씨켐이 2억원을 각각 출연해 마련됐다. 기부금은 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 불우이웃 지원을 비롯해 청소년 교육, 미혼모 지원, 멸종 위기 생물 보호 등 복지 사각지대 해소와 환경보호 사업에 활용될 예정이다.
삼양그룹은 2001년부터 24년간 사회복지공동모금회 희망나눔캠페인에 꾸준히 참여하며, 사회적 돌봄이 필요한 이웃과 지역사회 발전을 위한 나눔 활동을 이어오고 있다.
이와 함께 삼양그룹은 기업의 사회적 책임을 핵심 경영 가치로 삼고 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 전개하고 있다. 양영재단과 수당재단을 통한 장학사업으로 인재 육성과 학문 발전을 지원하고 있으며, 대전 지역 초등학생을 대상으로 한 ‘미래과학캠프’를 운영해 과학·공학 분야 체험 기회를 제공하고 있다. 또한 청소년들이 환경보호의 중요성을 자연스럽게 인식할 수 있도록 매년 ‘자연사랑 파란마음 그림축제’도 개최하고 있다.
삼양그룹 관계자는 “연말을 맞아 도움이 필요한 이웃과 지역사회에 조금이나마 보탬이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 성금을 전달했다”며 “앞으로도 사회적 책임을 다하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
