고양소방서가 29일 소속 구조대원 7명이 '라이프세이버(Life-saver)' 대상자로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
라이프세이버는 생명을 잃을 수 있는 위급한 현장에서 인명구조에 기여한 소방관에게 수여되는 인증서로, 이번에 선정된 구조대원은 소방위 안진석, 유재헌, 소방장 조정희, 소방교 성창수, 이윤기, 박용욱, 소방사 오봉진 등 총 7명이다.

이들은 지난 9월 27일 오후 9시경 북한산 노적봉 정상에서 추락과 고립으로 다친 시민 4명을 구조하는 데 성공했다.
어두운 밤 가파른 암벽과 바위가 많은 위험한 지형 속에서도 대원들은 고난도 구조기술을 발휘해 전원을 무사히 구조했으며, 중상을 입은 1명은 헬기를 통해 병원으로 긴급 이송했다.
박기완 고양소방서장은 "이번 라이프세이버 선정은 대원들의 훈련과 협동의 결과"라며 "앞으로도 책임감을 갖고 구조활동에 최선을 다해주길 바란다"고 말했다.
한편 고양소방서는 산악구조를 비롯한 각종 재난 상황에 대비해 정기적인 훈련과 장비 점검을 실시하고 있으며, 이번 구조 활동은 그 성과를 보여준 사례로 평가받고 있다.
