【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군과 음성군이 함께 운영하는 충북혁신도시 공유평생학습관이 올해 다양한 평생학습 프로그램을 운영하며 평생학습의 중심지로 자리매김하고 있다.
올해 정기강좌, 충북시민대학, 세대공감 교육발전 특구 사업, 그린뉴딜 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영했으며 총 2천여 명의 주민에게 배움의 기쁨을 선물했다.
특히 취미, 여가, 재테크, 전문자격 등 주민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 맞춤형 교육이 다수 꾸려지면서 주민들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다.
또한 개방형 ‘디지털 라운지’를 통해 주민들이 자유롭게 공부하거나 학습동아리로 활동할 수 있도록 지원하면서 주민 주도의 자발적 학습 문화가 점차 확산하고 있다.
군은 내년부터 국정과제인 ‘AI 인재 양성’과 연계해 평생학습관의 디지털 학습실을 중심으로 AI·디지털 역량교육을 강화할 방침이다.
함수석 군 평생학습센터 주무관은 “공유평생학습관은 주민들이 지역의 구성원으로서 공동체와 소통하는 것은 물론 개개인의 주도적인 삶을 지원하는 상징적인 장소”라며 “주민 수요에 맞춘 다양한 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 발굴해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
한편 공유형 평생학습 체계 구축의 성과는 오는 12월 진천읍 구도심에 개관 예정인 ‘생거진천평생학습관’으로 이어지고 있으며, 진천군은 진천읍을 거점으로 하는 생거진천평생학습관을 기반으로 더 다채롭고 차별화된 평생교육 인프라를 구축한다는 계획이다.
