고양특례시 덕양구 행신1동은 지난 29일 새마을협의회와 함께 관내 취약계층 50가구를 대상으로 연말 맞이 이웃 나눔 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 나눔은 연말·연시를 홀로 보내기 쉬운 이웃들의 안부를 살피고, 따뜻한 위로와 정을 전하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 새마을협의회는 후원으로 준비한 불고기와 떡을 각 가정을 직접 방문해 전달하며 이웃들에게 든든한 한 끼를 선물했으며 특히 활동 중 개인이 자발적으로 후원한 귤 20박스가 추가로 더해져 대상 가구에 함께 전달되면서 나눔의 의미를 더욱 풍성하게 했다.
새마을협의회 관계자는 “연말을 맞아 이웃들에게 작은 정성이지만 따뜻함을 전하고 싶었다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 이웃 돌봄을 위한 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
최만호 행신1동장도 “민관이 협력해 이웃을 돌보는 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며 “개인 후원으로 나눔에 동참해 준 후원자께도 깊이 감사드린다”고 전했다.
