[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 해운대구는 2026년 새해부터 출산지원금 지원 대상을 확대해 출생순위와 관계없이 모든 출생아에 출산지원금을 지급한다.
‘해운대구 출산지원금’은 출산가정의 생애 초기 경제적 부담을 완화하고 출산 친화 분위기를 조성하기 위해 추진 중인 제도다.
지금까지 ‘둘째 이상 출생아’에게만 지원했으나 지속되는 저출생 문제에 적극 대응하기 위해 첫째아로 지원대상을 확대했다.
2026년 1월 1일 이후 출생해 해운대구에 출생신고(주민등록)한 출생아부터 적용하며 지원금액은 첫째아 50만 원, 둘째아 이상 100만 원을 일시금으로 지급한다.
2025년 12월 31일 이전 출생아의 경우 기존 ‘둘째 이상 출생아’ 지급 기준을 적용한다. 출생일로부터 6개월 이내 신청하면 되고, 출생아의 주민등록상 주소지 관할 동 행정복지센터를 방문하거나 정부 24 홈페이지(plus.gov.kr)를 통한 온라인 신청도 가능하다.
김성수 구청장은 “출산에 따른 경제적 부담을 줄이고 모든 가정이 차별 없이 지원받을 수 있도록 제도를 개선했다”며 “아이를 낳고 키우는 가정이 체감할 수 있는 출산·양육 지원 정책을 지속적으로 발굴해 시행하겠다”고 전했다.

The Haeundae District Childbirth Support Grant is a program designed to ease the financial burden on families during the early stages of child-rearing and to foster a more childbirth-friendly environment.
Until now, the grant had been limited to families with a second or subsequent child. However, in response to the ongoing low birth rate, the district has decided to extend the benefit to first-born children as well.
The expanded policy will apply to babies born on or after January 1, 2026, who are registered as residents of Haeundae District. Under the revised scheme, families will receive a one-time payment of 500,000 won for a first child and 1 million won for a second or subsequent child.
For children born on or before December 31, 2025, the existing eligibility criteria—limited to second or later births—will remain in effect. Applications must be submitted within six months of birth and can be made either by visiting the administrative welfare center of the child’s registered neighborhood or online through the Government24 website.
Haeundae District Mayor Kim Sung-soo said, “We have improved the system to reduce the financial burden associated with childbirth and to ensure that all families receive support without discrimination,” adding, “We will continue to develop and implement childbirth and childcare support policies that families can truly feel in their daily lives.”
