【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=해병대 교육훈련단은 올해 마지막밀인 31일 행사연병장에서 신병 1324기 382명의 수료식을 거행했다고 밝혔다.
훈련단에 따르면 이날 수료식에는 주한미해병부대(MFK) 관계관을 비롯해 해병대전우회 경북연합회장, 포항시 해병대전우회 관계자, 부대 주요 지휘관과 참모, 주임원사단, 수료 신병들의 가족과 지인 등 약 2,000여 명이 참석해 신병들의 수료를 축하했다.
지난 11월 24일 입영한 신병 1324기는 혹독한 겨울 한파 속에서도 기초군사훈련과 해병대 특성화 훈련을 성실히 수행하며 6주간의 교육훈련 과정을 마쳤다. 특히 5주차 ‘극기주’ 훈련에서는 산악전 훈련과 각개전투 훈련을 실시하고 천자봉 고지를 정복하며 강인한 체력과 정신력을 함양했다. 이어진 빨간명찰 수여식을 통해 ‘한 번 해병은 영원한 해병’이라는 해병대의 핵심 가치를 체득했다.
교육훈련단은 혹한기 기상 여건을 고려해 방한 복장을 착용하게 하고 건강 상태를 수시로 확인하는 등 안전사고 예방 활동을 강화하는 한편, 겨울철 추위를 극복하기 위한 체력 단련을 병행해 훈련 효과를 극대화했다.
수료식은 애국가 제창을 시작으로 수료선서, 해병 자격 선포, 해병의 긍지 제창, 교육과정 우수자 상장 수여, 훈련기 반납 순으로 진행됐다. 수료식 이후에는 가족들이 행사연병장에 도열한 신병들을 찾아가 포옹하며 수료의 기쁨을 나누고 약 4시간 동안 면회 시간을 가졌다.
이종문 교육훈련단장은 훈시를 통해 “2026년 새로운 햇살과 함께 전국 각지의 임지로 힘찬 걸음을 내딛게 될 것”이라며 “지금의 초심을 가슴에 새기고 맡은 임무를 완수하길 바란다”고 당부했다.
가장 우수한 성적으로 수료해 문광욱상을 수상한 박하린 이병은 “혹한의 날씨와 힘든 훈련이 이어졌지만 동기들과 함께였기에 한 해의 마지막 날 무사히 수료할 수 있었다”며 “교육훈련단에서 배운 해병대 정신을 잊지 않고 주어진 임무를 완수하는 해병이 되겠다”고 말했다.
이날 수료식에는 1,000기수 후배들의 수료를 축하하기 위한 선배 해병들의 방문도 이어졌다. 병 324기 동기회는 부대를 찾아 후배 해병들을 격려하며 수료식에 의미를 더했다.
2025년 마지막 날 수료한 신병 1324기는 이틀 뒤인 1월 2일부터 전국 각지 해병대 부대에 배치돼 각자 맡은 임무를 수행하며 본격적인 군 생활을 시작한다.
한편, 해병대 교육훈련단은 올해 총 13개 기수, 1만 2,000여 명의 신병을 배출하며 해병대 정예 병력 양성 임무를 성공적으로 완수했다.

The 1,324th class of recruits, who graduated on the last day of 2025, will begin their military careers in earnest two days later, on January 2nd, at Marine Corps units across the country, where they will carry out their assigned duties.
