가평군의 지속가능발전 계획은 「지속가능발전기본법」에 근거해 수립됐으며, 향후 20년을 내다본 중장기 전략이다. 군은 지속가능한 경제 성장과 포용적 사회 구현, 기후·환경 위기 대응을 핵심 축으로 설정하고, 경제·사회·환경의 연계성을 바탕으로 3대 전략, 17개 목표, 57개 세부목표, 133개 추진과제를 단계적으로 추진하고 있다.
