이번 웰컴키트는 공직 생활을 막 시작한 신규 직원들에게 가장 필요한 실무 용품들로 구성됐다. 현장 행정을 위한 출장용 가방과 업무 효율을 높여줄 마우스 장패드 등이 담겼다.

선물 그 이상의 의미를 담은 것은 마우스 장패드에 새겨진 문구다. ‘청렴은 나의 첫 임무입니다’라는 문구를 삽입해, 신규 직원들이 PC 앞에 앉을 때마다 자신의 본분을 자연스럽게 되새길 수 있도록 디자인했다. 

이종덕 의창구청장이 직접 나선 이번 전달식은 경직된 조직 문화를 탈피하고, 새내기 직원들이 공직 사회에 안정적으로 적응하도록 돕는 '소통의 장' 역할도 겸했다.

이종덕 의창구청장은 “공직 첫 걸음의 순수한 마음을 잃지 않고 신규직원들이 잘 적응하고 청렴을 일상에서 실천할 수 있도록 지원할 것”이라며, “청렴 웰컴키트에 응원하는 마음을 조금이나마 담고자 하였다”고 밝혔다.
