서산시의회, 2026년 시무식 열고 ‘시민 중심 의정’ 다짐

충남 서산시의회가 2일 본회의장에서 2026년 시무식을 열고 새로운 한 해의 의정활동을 힘차게 시작했다.

이날 시무식에는 조동식 의장을 비롯한 시의원들과 의회사무국 직원 등 30여 명이 참석해 올해 의회의 운영 방향을 공유하고, 새해를 맞아 결의를 다졌다.

행사는 조 의장의 신년사를 시작으로 기념촬영과 의원·직원 간 새해 인사 순으로 진행됐다.

조동식 의장은 신년사에서 “제9대 시의회의 임기를 마무리하는 중요한 시점에 서 있는 만큼, 끝까지 초심을 잃지 않고 시민의 작은 목소리에도 귀 기울이는 세심한 의정활동을 이어가겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 제9대 서산시의회는 ‘시민과 함께하는 따뜻한 서산시의회’를 슬로건으로 내걸고 오는 5일 개회하는 제311회 임시회를 시작으로 지역 현안 해결과 시민 복리 증진을 위한 본격적인 의정활동에 돌입할 예정이다.
