브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 주진우 국민의힘 의원이 3일 이혜훈 기획예산처 장관 후보자를 둘러싼 부동산 투기 의혹을 제기했다. 인천국제공항 개항을 앞둔 시점에 인천 영종도 인근 토지를 대규모로 매입해 시세 차익을 얻었다는 주장이다.
주 의원이 이날 자신의 페이스북에 공개한 부동산 등기부등본 등 자료에 따르면 이 후보자의 배우자는 지난 2000년 1월 18일 인천 영종도 토지 6612㎡(약 2000평)를 매입했다고 밝혔다. 당시 해당 토지의 공시지가는 13억8800만원이었다.
주 의원은 "당시는 인천공항 개항을 1년 앞두고 영종도와 인근 지역에 대규모 투기 바람이 일었던 시기"라며 "서울에 거주하던 이혜훈 부부가 인천의 잡종지 2000평을 매입할 이유가 없다. 공항 개발로 인한 시세 차익을 노린 명백한 부동산 투기"라고 주장했다.
해당 토지는 이후 한국토지공사와 인천도시개발공사에 의해 2006년 12월 수용됐다. 이 후보자의 공직자 재산 신고 내역에 따르면 수용가는 39억2100만원으로, 매입가 대비 약 3배에 가까운 차익을 거둔 것으로 나타났다.
주 의원은 "6년도 채 되지 않아 거의 세 배의 투기 차익을 얻었다"며 "경제부처 장관 자리에 부동산 투기 의혹을 받는 인사를 앉혀도 되는 것인지 묻고 싶다"고 비판했다.
이어 "갑질과 부동산 투기를 사랑한 전력이 민주당 정부에서 영입된 이유"라며 "제발 데려가라. 반품 불가"라고 덧붙였다.
한편, 이재명 대통령은 지난달 28일 초대 기획예산처 장관 후보자로 보수 진영 출신인 이혜훈 전 의원을 발탁했다. 이후 이 후보자가 국회의원 재직 당시 보좌진을 질책하는 녹취록 등이 공개되며 갑질·폭언 논란이 불거진 바 있다.
