최 의원은 이날 오전 국민의힘 대구시당 회의실에서 열린 기자간담회에서 “대구 경제 침체는 리더십 실패에서 비롯된 결과”라며 “새로운 시정 패러다임으로 대구의 재도약을 이루겠다"고 강조했다.
최 의원은 “지금 대구는 멈춰 있다. 청년의 일자리 문제, 자영업의 활력, 그리고 도시 경쟁력 회복이 시급하다”며 “기존 방식에는 한계가 분명하다. 저는 실행력 있는 행정을 통해 실질적인 변화를 만들겠다”고 목소리를 높였다.

최 의원은 “리더십 교체와 함께 즉시 실행 가능한 경제정책을 제시하겠다”며 앞으로 내놓을 정책의 구체성이 승부처가 될 것으로 보인다.
