[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시가 지역 산업의 핵심 동력인 하청노동자들의 고용 안정과 복지 향상을 위한 '하청노동자 지원 5개년 계획(2026~2030년)'을 수립하고 본격적인 추진을 예고했다.
이는 현장에서 겪는 고용 불안정, 산업재해 위험, 복지 사각지대 등 구조적 문제 해결을 위한 중장기 정책 방향을 담고 있다.
지난해 12월 23일 하청노동자 권리 보호 및 지원 위원회의 심의를 거쳐 마련된 이번 계획은 '차별 없는 일터, 하청노동자가 행복한 거제 실현'을 비전으로 삼고 있다.
이를 위해 거제시는 노동복지 향상, 노동권익 증진, 소통체계 강화, 안전 및 산업재해 예방 등 4대 정책 과제를 중심으로 총 26개 세부 사업을 추진할 방침이다.
특히, 하청노동자들이 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 지원책들이 대거 포함됐다.
현장 휴게시설 개선, 작업복 공동 세탁소 운영, 찾아가는 건강지원 서비스, 노동상담 및 법률지원, 외국인노동자 통·번역 서비스 제공, 노동안전보건지킴이 운영 등이 대표적이다.
총 재정 투자 규모는 2026년부터 2030년까지 5년간 200억 1천700만 원으로 책정됐으며, 사업 추진 상황을 지속적으로 점검하며 현장 여건 변화에 유연하게 대응해나갈 예정이다.
거제시 관계자는 "하청노동자들은 지역 산업을 지탱하는 핵심 인력이지만 상대적으로 보호의 사각지대에 놓여있었다"며, "이번 지원계획을 통해 현장에서 실질적인 변화를 체감할 수 있도록 정책 추진에 최선을 다하겠다"고 강조했다.
