‘다시 저녁이 찾아왔다(আবার এলো যে সন্ধ্যা)’는 방글라데시 대중음악사에서 가장 서정적인 포크-모던 발라드의 원형으로 기억되는 노래다. 이 곡은 1980년대 벵골 청춘의 내면을 ‘저녁’이라는 상징으로 형상화한 작품으로 한 시대의 감성을 가장 깊숙하게 담아낸 노래다.
이 노래는 가수 해피 아칸드를 위해 그의 동생 러키 아칸드(1956~2017)가 직접 작사, 작곡한 곡이다. 러키 아칸드의 음악은 감정의 과장 없이 선율의 미세한 떨림으로 정서의 밑바닥을 흔드는 방식을 지녔다. 단순한 코드 진행 속에 절제된 변주가 흐르고 형 해피 아칸드의 목소리는 그 선율 위에 저녁이 품은 고요한 울림을 그려낸다.

짧은 생 속에서 시대의 고통을 노래하고 떠난 가수들의 노래는 모두 삶의 가장자리에서 건져 올린 목소리였다는 점이 닮았다. 해피 아칸드의 노래에는 완성이 없었다. 대신 아직 말라붙지 않은 삶의 울음이 있었다. 그래서 그의 노래는 시간이 아니라 삶의 온도를 계량하는 목소리로 남았다.
