【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 달성군이 올해 재난 대응 평가에서 행정안전부와 대구시로부터 연이어 우수기관에 선정되며 ‘3관왕’의 영예를 안았다.
실제 재난 대응 실적과 현장 중심 훈련이 뒷받침한 결과로, 달성군의 재난 관리 역량이 전국적으로 인정받았다는 평가다.
달성군은 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘재난대응 안전한국훈련’에서 3년 연속 우수 등급을 획득했다. 또 2025년 여름철 집중호우 대비 ‘자연재난 대책추진 평가’에서도 우수기관(장려)으로 뽑혀 특별교부세 1억5천만 원도 확보했다.
이 밖에도 대구시가 실시한 ‘자연재난 관리실태 평가’에서도 우수기관 명단에 이름을 올렸다.
평가는 최근 몇 년간 실제 재난 상황에서의 대응 성과를 중심으로 이뤄졌다. 2025년 여름 호우와 2024~2025년 겨울 대설 시기를 거치며 달성군은 선제적 예방 조치, 신속한 현장 대응, 체계적인 상황 관리를 인정받았다.
대표적인 사례로는 지난해 10월 대구경북과학기술원 일원에서 진행한 복합재난 대응 훈련이 꼽힌다. 이 훈련에서는 도심 산불이 다중이용시설까지 번지는 상황을 가정하고 대구시, 달성소방서, 그 외 관계 기관 등 총 280여 명이 참여해 현장 협업 체계와 대응 절차를 점검했다.
달성군은 사회·자연재난 모두에 대비한 균형 잡힌 대응 체계를 갖추고, 정기적인 현장 훈련을 통해 유관기관 협업 능력을 꾸준히 강화해온 점이 높은 평가를 받았다. 특별교부세는 앞으로 재난 예방과 복구 장비 보강, 대응 역량 강화 사업에 투입될 예정이다.
최재훈 달성군수는 “이번 성과는 특정 재난에 그치지 않고 평소 다양한 재난 유형에 대비해 온 시스템이 제대로 평가받은 것”이라며 “앞으로도 현장 중심 훈련과 꼼꼼한 사전 대비로 군민 안전을 지키는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
