브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 대기업 총수일가 중 해외 국적자 비율이 오너 1·2세대에서는 1.7%로 미미했지만, 3·4세대에서는 9.4%로 급증한 것으로 나타났다.
쿠팡 사태로 미국 국적을 가진 김범석 의장에 대한 ‘검은머리 외국인’ 논란이 지속되는 가운데, 해외 국적을 보유한 대기업 총수일가 비율도 증가세에 있는 것으로 조사됐다.
특히, 외국 국적의 총수일가 41명 중 대부분이 미국 국적이며, 이 중 일부는 실제 국내에서 경영에도 참여중인 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 쿠팡 사태와 맞물려 향후 외국 국적자 경영인에 대한 동일인 지정, 친족 기업 정보 공시 등이 새로운 정책적 과제로 부각될 것으로 보인다.
7일 CEO스코어에 따르면 상장 계열사의 지분을 보유한 대기업집단 62곳의 총수일가 582명을 대상으로 지난해 말 국적 현황을 조사한 결과, 전체 조사 대상자 582명중 7.0%인 41명이 외국 국적이었다.
이번 조사에서는 각 세대별로 외국 국적 비율이 큰 차이를 보였다. 그룹 창업자를 비롯해 1·2세대의 외국 국적 비율은 1.7%(3명)에 불과했지만, 그 자녀 세대인 3·4세대의 외국 국적 비율은 9.4%(38명)로 부모 세대에 비해 크게 늘어났다.
3세대 총수일가의 외국 국적 비율이 10.8%로 가장 높았고, 4세대 총수일가의 외국 국적 비율도 6.7%에 달했다.
외국 국적의 총수일가 41명 중 39명이 미국 국적으로 절대 다수를 차지했고, 일본과 싱가포르 국적자도 각각 1명씩이었다. 일본 국적인 총수일가는 신동빈 롯데그룹 회장의 장남인 신유열 롯데지주 부사장, 싱가포르 국적은 LS그룹 일가인 구재희 씨였다.
또한, 이들 외국 국적을 가진 총수일가 41명 중 현재 경영에 참여(임원 재직)중인 것으로 확인된 총수일가는 11명(26.8%)에 달했다.
