이재명 대통령이 7일(현지시간) 중국의 부정 선거 개입론 관련해 "부정 선거를 중국이 어쩌고 저쩌고란 정신 나간 소리를 해 (중국 측) 감정을 상하게 하면 되겠나"라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 방중 일정 마지막 날인 이날 중국 상하이 한국 기자단 프레스 센터를 찾아 진행된 방중 동행 기자단 오찬 간담회에서 이같이 말한 후 "앞으로도 계속 혐중·혐한 조장·선동에 억제 노력을 계속해야 되겠다"고 주장했다. 이 자리는 당초 예정에 없었으나 이 대통령 요청으로 마련돼 생중계됐다.
그러면서 "한·중 관계는 정말 서로에 필요한 관계로 불필요하게 서로 자극·배척하거나 대립할 필요 없다”며 “정부는 한·중 관계가 어느 한쪽으로 치우치거나 감정에 좌우되지 않도록 상호 존중하고 각자 국익을 중심에 두는 원칙 위에서 관리할 생각”이라고 했다.
또 “더 나은 환경을 만들 수 있는데 왜 불필요하게 근거 없는 사안을 만들어 갈등을 촉발하는지 이해 안 된다”며 “앞으로 서로 도움 되는 관계로 바꾸면 좋겠다”고 했다.
이어 “한·중 관계가 많이 바뀌었고 경쟁적 협력·협력적 경쟁이 필요하지 않나 싶다”며 “최근 문제 되는 공급망 협력·한반도 평화·역내 안정 문제에 방문 기간 진지하고 책임 있는 대화가 이뤄졌다”고 전했다.
더불어 "이번 방중은 생각보다 더 많은 진전이 있었던 것 같다”며 “교감도 많이 이뤄졌으며 대립할 사안들에 대해 원만히 해소할 수 있는 길을 찾아냈던 것 같다”고 했다.
이 대통령은 현 중·일 간 갈등 국면 관련해선 "상황을 예의주시하고 어떤 상황을 직면케 될지 면밀히 점검하는 단계"라며 "원만·신속히 잘 해결되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.

이 대통령은 "그 말이 맞고 우리가 꽤 오랜 시간 북한에 군사적 공격 행위를 하지 않았나. 사실 북한은 엄청 불안했을 것"이라며 "엄청난 적대심을 유발했고 꽤 오랜 시간 쌓아온 업보라 할까, 쌓아온 적대가 있어 완화돼 대화가 시작되려면 많은 시간·노력이 필요하며 상대와 대화하려면 상대 입장을 이해해야 하고, 북한 편을 들었다고 종북이라 할건가,이건 냉정한 것"이라고 주장했다.
그러면서 "북한 정권 입장서 지금 핵 없애는 것에 동의할 수 있겠느냐. 불가능하다 생각되며 현 상태서 (핵무기) 추가 생산 않고 국외로 핵물질을 반출 않고 더 이상 ICBM(대륙간탄도미사일) 개발을 하지 않는 것만으로도 이익이니 그 대가를 지급하고 중단하는 것을 목표로 제시했다"며 "중기적으로 감축해 나가고 길게 봐 핵 없는 한반도를 장기 목표로 포기하지 말아야 하며 이 점 진정성에 대해 북측에 충실히 설명해달라는 부탁을 (중국에) 했고 중국 측 공감이 있었다"고 전했다.
