서산시, 충남 유일 ‘스마트도시 우수기관’ 영예

충남 서산시가 스마트 기술을 행정 전반에 도입해 시민 편의를 높인 성과를 인정받았다. 서산시에 따르면 충청남도가 주관한 ‘2025년 스마트도시 유공 평가’에서 도내 유일한 우수기관으로 선정돼 도지사 표창을 수상했다고 8일 밝혔다.

서산시는 지난해 5년 연속 ‘드론 실증도시 구축사업’에 선정됐으며, 충청권에서는 유일하게 ‘디지털 물류 서비스 실증 지원사업’에도 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다. 

이를 기반으로 가로림만 일대 섬 지역을 대상으로 한 맞춤형 드론 배송 상용화 서비스를 추진, 2024년 6월부터 11월까지 고파도·우도·분점도 등지에서 총 317회의 배송을 수행해 주민과 관광객의 생활 편의를 크게 높였다.

또한 서산시는 충남도 내 최초로 시가 직접 관리하는 모든 CCTV에 지능형 선별관제 시스템을 도입했다. 이 시스템은 영상 내 움직임을 자동 분석해 관제 필요 화면을 선별하는 기술로, 신속한 대응체계 구축과 도시 안전망 강화를 실현했다는 평가를 받았다.

서산시는 올해 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반 주차정보 공유시스템 구축에도 나설 계획이다. 이를 통해 실시간 주차 정보를 제공해 시민들의 교통 편의를 높이고, 스마트 교통행정 기반을 강화할 방침이다.

Seosan City, South Chungcheong Province, has been recognized for its efforts to enhance citizen convenience by implementing smart technologies throughout its administration. According to the city, it was the only outstanding institution in the province in the "2025 Smart City Merit Evaluation" hosted by South Chungcheong Province and received a Governor's Award on the 8th.

Last year, Seosan City was selected for the "Drone Demonstration City Construction Project" for the fifth consecutive year and was also the only city in the Chungcheong region to be selected for the "Digital Logistics Service Demonstration Support Project."

Building on this achievement, Seosan City is pursuing a customized drone delivery service for island areas around Garorim Bay.
