고양특례시 일산서구 탄현1동은 지난 6일, 일산효성교회로부터 지역 내 취약계층 지원을 위한 성금 100만 원을 전달받았다고 8일 밝혔다.

이번 기부금은 지난해 성탄절을 맞아 교회 성도들이 자발적으로 모은 성탄 후원금으로 마련됐다. 일산효성교회는 평소에도 지역사회와의 연계를 통해 다양한 나눔 활동을 이어오고 있다.
전달된 성금은 탄현1동 내 도움이 필요한 주민들에게 생필품과 식료품 등을 지원하는 데 사용할 예정이다.
홍순규 담임목사는 “성탄의 의미를 나눔으로 이어가자는 성도들의 마음이 모였다”며 “작은 정성이지만 이웃들에게 위로와 희망이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.
김선우 탄현1동장은 “따뜻한 마음이 담긴 소중한 기부금을 전달해 주셔서 감사드린다”며 “기부금이 어려운 이웃들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 잘 전달하겠다”고 밝혔다.
