고양특례시가 저소득층 여성청소년의 건강권 보장과 경제적 부담 완화를 위한 '여성청소년 생리용품 바우처 지원사업' 신청을 받고 있다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 국비로 지원되는 복지 정책으로, 생리용품 구입 비용을 지원해 청소년들이 안정적이고 건강한 일상생활을 영위할 수 있도록 돕는 것을 목표로 한다.
지원 대상은 고양시에 거주하는 9세부터 24세 이하 여성청소년 중 ▲기초생활수급자 ▲차상위계층 ▲법정 한부모가족 지원 대상자 등이다.
선정된 대상자에게는 바우처가 지급되며, 지정된 온라인·오프라인 가맹점에서 생리용품 구매 시 사용할 수 있다.
신청은 주소지 관할 동 행정복지센터를 직접 방문하거나 복지로 홈페이지를 통해 온라인으로 가능하다. 청소년 본인 또는 보호자가 신청할 수 있다.
특히 올해부터는 바우처 신청과 동시에 국민행복카드를 함께 신청할 수 있게 돼 절차가 한층 간소화됐다.
또한 신청 시점과 관계없이 연간 지원금 16만 8천 원 전액을 한 번에 지급받을 수 있도록 제도가 개선됐다.
이에 따라 연중 언제 신청하더라도 지원금 전액을 사용할 수 있어 대상자의 선택권과 활용도가 크게 확대될 전망이다.
