【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 컴퓨터정보계열 학생들이 글로벌 네트워크 기업 시스코코리아를 찾아 현장 실무를 직접 체험했다.
영진전문대는 컴퓨터정보계열 재학생 29명이 동계 프로그램 ‘2025 AICOSS 캠퍼스 한달살기 서울편’의 일환으로 지난 9일 서울 강남구 아셈타워에 위치한 시스코코리아 본사를 방문했다고 12일 밝혔다. 이날 견학에는 교수진을 포함해 총 31명이 참여했다.
이들은 시스코코리아의 기업 소개와 주요 사업 모델에 대한 설명을 들으며 견학을 시작했다. 이어 최신 네트워크 솔루션 시연과 데모 센터 관람, 네트워크 전문가와의 간담회 등이 차례로 진행됐다.
학생들은 라우터와 스위치 등 네트워크 장비가 실제 산업 현장에서 어떻게 구축되고 운영되는지 직접 확인하는 시간을 가졌다.
특히 전공 기초 과목인 CCNA에서 배운 내용이 실무 현장에서 어떻게 적용되는지 체험해 보는 기회도 있었다. 이 자리에서 네트워크 엔지니어에게 필요한 역량과 진로나 취업 등 실질적인 조언도 얻었다.
견학에 참여한 류창민 학생은 “교과서와 실습에서만 접하던 장비가 실제로 네트워크망을 구성하는 과정을 보며 앞으로 집중할 공부 방향이 분명해졌다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
김종규 영진전문대학교 인공지능혁신융합대학사업단장은 “이번 방문은 글로벌 기업의 최신 기술과 현장을 몸소 경험하면서 전공 기술의 가치를 직접 느끼는 계기가 됐다”며 “앞으로도 수도권 대학과의 교류와 기업 탐방 등을 꾸준히 확대해 실무형 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
AICOSS 캠퍼스 한달살기 프로그램은 방학 기간 동안 수도권 대학에 머물며 다양한 학교 학생들과 학술 교류와 기업 현장 경험을 함께 할 수 있는 과정이다.

The AICOSS Campus Monthly Living Program allows students to stay at universities in the Seoul metropolitan area during the vacation period, engaging in academic exchanges and engaging in hands-on corporate experiences with students from various schools.
