의정부시가 시민 생활과 밀접한 행정, 인프라, 복지 정보를 지역 단위로 정리한 ‘우리동네 정책로드맵’ 흥선동편을 13일 공개했다. 이번 로드맵은 노후 주거지의 안전을 강화하고 생활 밀착형 인프라를 확충해 흥선동의 정주 여건을 개선하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
가장 눈에 띄는 변화는 ‘보이지 않는 곳에서 작동하는 스마트 안전망’이다. 시는 전국 최초로 AI 분석과 IoT 센서를 결합한 스마트 안전망을 흥선행복마을 일대에 구축했다. 불꽃이나 연기를 감지하면 즉시 119와 연계되는 자동 신고 시스템을 통해 초기 대응력을 극대화했다. 또한, 1,200여 개의 빗물받이를 전산화한 ‘스마트 빗물받이 관리 체계’를 도입해 구도심의 고질적인 침수 문제 해결에도 나섰다.

도시 환경 개선을 위한 재개발 및 재생 사업도 구체화되고 있다. 경민대학로 일대 ‘경기 더드림 재생사업’이 성공적으로 마무리되며 상권 활성화와 보행 환경 개선을 이끌어냈고, 가능8구역 재개발 사업(1,198세대 규모)은 2025년 말 구역 지정을 마치고 본격적인 절차에 돌입했다.

의정부시 관계자는 “정책로드맵은 동별 현안을 체계적으로 정리해 시민과 소통하기 위한 기획”이라며, “앞으로도 주민들의 일상이 더 안전하고 편리해질 수 있도록 체감형 정책을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
