[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 고성군은 1회용품 사용을 자발적으로 줄이며 친환경 경영을 실천해 온 ‘카페 달꽃정원’이 경상남도로부터 ‘1회용품 사용 줄이기 환경우수업소’로 선정됐다고 13일 밝혔다.
정부는 탄소 중립 실천과 순환 경제 사회로의 전환을 위해 1회용품 줄이기에 솔선한 모범 업소를 대상으로 환경우수업소로 선정하는 정책을 추진하고 있다.
이 정책에 따라 ‘카페 달꽃정원’이 고성군 제1호로 선정됐다.
배달 음식이 증가하고 커피 선호도 늘어남에 따라 1회용품 사용 또한 늘어나는 상황에서 타 업소의 귀감이 되고 있다.
‘카페 달꽃정원’은 매장 내에서 1회용품 사용을 최대한 줄이고 플라스틱 빨대 대신에 유리 빨대를 상시 제공하는 등 다회용품 사용으로 친환경 경영을 몸소 실천한 점이 높이 평가됐다.
고성군은 이를 기념해 ‘1회용품 사용 줄이기 환경우수업소’현판을 제작하여 업소에 전달하고 적극적으로 홍보할 계획이다.
최정란 환경과장은 “카페 달빛정원이 환경우수업소 고성군 제1호로 선정된 일을 축하하며, 이를 본받아 더 많은 업소가 1회용품 사용 줄이기에 자발적으로 참여하여 친환경 소비문화 확산에 의미 있는 출발점이 되기를 기대한다”라고 말했다.
