파주시가 지방세 행정의 청렴성과 투명성을 높이기 위해 민간 전문가 그룹과 손잡았다.
파주시는 14일 파주지역세무사회(마을세무사)와 청렴 문화의 정착과 확산을 위한 민관 청렴협의체를 구성하고 청렴 실천 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 지방세 행정 전반에 청렴 문화를 확산하고 부정부패를 원천적으로 차단하기 위해 추진됐다.

협약의 주요 내용은 ▲청렴 문화 확산 및 부정청탁 근절 ▲지방세 분야 부정부패 사전 예방을 위한 자체 정화 시스템 구축 ▲부패 취약 분야 공동 발굴 및 개선 협력 ▲불합리한 지방세 제도에 대한 의견 교환과 국세법 관련 자문 등 상호 업무 지원 등이다.
파주시는 이번 청렸협의체 구성을 계기로 공직자와 민간 전문가 간의 소통 채널을 확대하고, 지속적인 교류와 협력을 통해 실질적인 반부패 활동을 전개할 방침이다.
특히 지방세 분야의 부정부패를 사전에 예방하고, 부패가 발생할 수 있는 취약 분야를 체계적으로 발굴·개선함으로써 행정 서비스의 공정성과 투명성을 한층 높일 것으로 기대된다.
파주시 관계자는 "파주시와 마을세무사 간 협력체계를 구축하는 데 도움을 주신 파주지역세무사회에 감사드린다"며 "이번 청렴협의체 구성을 통해 시민들이 신뢰할 수 있는 공정하고 투명한 지방세 행정을 구현하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
