【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청은 구직 단념 등으로 노동시장 참여가 끊긴 청년을 대상으로 ‘2026년 청년도전지원사업’ 참여자 130명을 모집한다고 밝혔다.
맞춤형 상담과 취업역량 강화 프로그램을 통해 이른바 ‘쉬었음’ 청년의 사회 진입을 돕는 사업이다.
청년도전지원사업은 고용노동부 공모사업으로, 구직 실패나 심리적 위축 등으로 취업을 포기한 청년을 발굴해 단계별 회복과 취업 연계를 지원하는 것이 핵심이다. 북구는 지역 특성에 맞춘 운영으로 지난해 성과평가에서 ‘우수’ 기관으로 선정된 바 있다.
모집 대상은 만 18세부터 39세까지의 미취업 청년으로, 최근 6개월 이상 근무·교육·훈련 이력이 없는 경우 신청할 수 있다. 모집 인원은 총 130명이며, 프로그램은 단기 5주, 중기 15주, 장기 25주 과정으로 나뉘어 운영된다.
단기 과정은 기초상담과 자기탐색, 진로 기초 교육에 중점을 두고, 중기 과정에서는 직무역량 강화와 실습, 취업 연계를 지원한다. 장기 과정은 심층 컨설팅과 직무 전환, 인턴십 연계까지 포함해 보다 밀도 높은 지원을 제공한다. 과정 이수 시 참여수당과 인센티브로 50만 원에서 최대 350만 원까지 지급된다.
신청은 북구청 홈페이지와 공식 SNS에 게시된 구글폼(QR코드) 또는 운영기관 방문을 통해 가능하다. 서류 심사와 면담을 거쳐 최종 참여자가 선발되며, 세부 일정과 절차는 공고문을 통해 안내된다.
배광식 북구청장은 “사회적 고립과 심리적 위축으로 어려움을 겪는 청년들이 이번 사업을 통해 다시 꿈을 향해 도전하길 바란다”며 “청년들이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착하고 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

The short-term program focuses on basic counseling, self-exploration, and foundational career education. The mid-term program supports job competency enhancement, practical training, and job placement. The long-term program offers more intensive support, including in-depth consulting, job transitions, and internship placements. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a participation allowance and incentives ranging from 500,000 won to a maximum of 3.5 million won.
Applications can be submitted via the Google Form (QR code) posted on the Buk-gu Office website and official social media channels, or by visiting the program's operating agency. Final participants will be selected through document screening and interviews, and detailed schedules and procedures will be announced in a public notice.
Buk-gu Mayor Bae Gwang-sik stated, "I hope that young people struggling with social isolation and psychological distress will be able to reclaim their dreams through this program. We will continue to provide support so that these young people can settle and grow in their communities."
