고양특례시가 올해 미래 신산업 역량과 학생 정서·관계 역량을 동시에 키우는 교육지원 사업을 본격 추진한다.
시는 15일 초중학생을 대상으로 'AI 코딩·드론 교육'과 '정서 안정 프로그램'을 함께 운영하며, 학생 성장 단계에 맞춘 균형 있는 교육환경을 조성한다고 밝혔다.

시의 대표 교육지원 사업인 '온마을 행복학교'는 올해 사업 방향을 전면 개편했다.
지난해까지 초등 6학년을 대상으로 다양한 체험 프로그램을 제공했다면, 올해부터는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 필요한 핵심 역량 교육에 집중한다.
초등학교 5,6학년에게는 AI 코딩 교육을, 중학교 23학년에게는 드론 교육을 제공한다.
이는 고양시의 특화 산업 여건을 반영한 것으로, 단순 체험을 넘어 학교 교육과정과 연계해 체계적인 역량 개발을 지원한다는 계획이다.

학생 정서교육을 담당하는 '밝은 학교문화 만들기' 사업도 내실을 다진다.
2025년 이전까지 전 학년을 대상으로 일부 학급에만 제공되던 프로그램을, 작년부터 학교 적응이 특히 중요한 중학교 1학년으로 집중 전환했다.
지난해 사업 모니터링에서 학교 현장의 긍정적 반응이 확인됨에 따라 이 방식을 계속 유지하기로 했다.
올해는 기존 관계·정서 프로그램에 더해 디지털 사용 습관 형성과 디지털 자기관리 역량 강화 프로그램도 추가로 운영한다.
시는 현재 두 사업에 참여할 교육기관 및 단체를 모집하고 있다.
'온마을 행복학교'는 21일까지, '밝은 학교문화 만들기'는 28일까지 신청을 받는다.
1차 서류심사를 거쳐 2월 초 2차 심사 및 교육과정 연계 컨설팅이 진행되며, 최종 선정된 교육단체는 2월 중 학교별 매칭을 거쳐 2026년 학교 교육과정과 연계해 운영된다.
시 관계자는 "AI 코딩과 드론 교육으로 미래 역량을 키우는 동시에 건강한 정서를 함께 키울 수 있도록 지원하겠다"며 "역량 있는 교육기관과 단체의 적극적인 참여를 기대한다"고 말했다.
