<브레이크뉴스 가평=이용하 기자>새해 영농 설계를 준비하는 가평군 농업인들의 뜨거운 열기가 매서운 한파마저 무색하게 만들고 있다.
가평군농업기술센터는 지난 13일부터 시작된 ‘2026년 새해농업인실용교육’이 연초 영농 계획을 세우려는 농가들의 적극적인 참여 속에 성황리에 진행되고 있다고 15일 밝혔다.
교육 현장은 초반부터 뜨거웠다. 지난 13일과 14일 양일간, 강추위에도 불구하고 약 500명의 농업인이 기술센터 교육장을 가득 메우며 새로운 영농 기술 습득에 몰입했다. 특히 14일에는 서태원 가평군수가 교육 현장을 직접 방문해 농업인들과 소통하며 새해 풍년 농사를 기원하는 격려의 메시지를 전해 현장의 열기를 더했다.

이날 교육에서는 고품질 친환경 벼 재배 기술과 고품질 캠벨얼리(포도) 생산을 위한 핵심 재배 기술 등 농가 소득 증대와 직결된 실무 중심의 강의가 진행되어 큰 호응을 얻었다.
이번 실용교육은 오는 23일까지 총 12개 과정, 16회에 걸쳐 진행되며 관내 농업인 약 1,500명을 대상으로 한다. 농업기술센터는 현장의 높은 수요를 반영해 남은 일정 동안에도 농업인들이 실질적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 교육의 질을 높이는 데 행정력을 집중할 방침이다.
농업기술센터 관계자는 “추운 날씨에도 불구하고 예상보다 많은 농업인이 교육장을 찾아 영농 기술 습득에 대한 열망을 보여주셨다”며, “농업인들의 기대에 부응할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 내실 있는 교육 운영에 만전을 기하겠다”고 말했다.
