브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 동아제약은 찾아가는 오케스트라 ‘메리 리틀 하모니’를 경상북도 상주시에서 개최했다고 19일 밝혔다.
지난 17일 경상북도 상주시에 위치한 동아쏘시오그룹 인재개발원 로비에서 진행된 이번 행사에서는 인기 애니메이션 디즈니 OST와 케이팝 데몬 헌터스 메들리 연주가 이어졌으며, 마라카스를 직접 만들어보는 참여형 프로그램도 함께 진행됐다. 현장에는 상주보육원 원생과 공검초등학교 학생 50여 명, 학부모 20여 명이 참여해 문화공연을 즐겼다.
동아제약은 수도권에 비해 문화예술 접근성이 낮은 소도시를 직접 찾아 문화 사각지대를 해소하고자 이번 행사를 기획했다. 2023년 문화체육관광부 통계에 따르면 대도시의 평균 문화예술 시설 수는 19.7개인 반면, 소도시는 평균 7.4개에 불과해 약 2배 가까운 차이를 보이며 문화예술 접근성이 현저히 낮은 것으로 나타났다.
동아제약은 소도시 문화예술 공연을 ‘메리 오케스트라’와 함께 지속적으로 모색하며 문화 사각지대 해소에 힘쓸 계획이다.
동아제약 관계자는 “쉽게 문화예술 활동을 접하기 어려운 소도시를 직접 찾아가 다양한 문화공연을 선보임으로써 아이들과 지역 주민들에게 따뜻한 추억을 선사하고자 했다”며 “문화 사각지대 해소를 위한 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 모색할 예정이다”고 말했다.
한편, 동아제약은 2020년 문화예술 가치 확산을 위해 동아제약·한국메세나협회·사단법인 메리와 3자 후원 협약을 체결했으며, 이후 오케스트라 운영 비용과 함께 피로회복제 박카스 및 박카스맛 젤리를 지속적으로 지원하고 있다.
