<브레이크뉴스 양구=이용하 기자>양구군의 취약계층 아동들이 예비 초등교사들과 함께 꿈과 희망을 키우는 특별한 겨울방학을 보낸다.
양구군은 춘천교육대학교와 협력해 1월 20일부터 23일까지 나흘간 평생학습관과 가족센터 일원에서 ‘2026 겨울캠프’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠프는 지난 2024년 양구군과 춘천교대가 체결한 업무협약(MOU)의 결실로, 지난해에 이어 올해 두 번째를 맞았다. 대학의 우수한 인적 자원과 교육 인프라를 지역사회에 환원함으로써, 교육 접근성이 상대적으로 낮은 드림스타트 아동들에게 양질의 체험형 교육 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
올해 캠프에는 드림스타트 아동 15명과 춘천교대 자원봉사 학생 20명이 참여한다. 주요 프로그램은 ▲자아 정체성을 찾는 ‘미래 설계 프로그램’ ▲우리 역사를 직접 만들어보는 ‘역사 탐험(병풍 만들기)’ ▲문화 예술적 감성을 키우는 ‘박수근미술관 관람 및 체험’ 등 아이들의 사회성과 창의성을 높일 수 있는 활동으로 구성됐다.
박인숙 양구군 평생교육과장은 “이번 캠프는 대학과 지역사회가 손잡고 우리 아이들의 건강한 성장을 돕는 상생 협력의 모범 사례”라며, “앞으로도 지역 대학과의 네트워크를 견고히 하여 아동 개개인에게 최적화된 맞춤형 통합 서비스를 지속적으로 발굴하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 양구군은 드림스타트 사업을 통해 12세 이하 취약계층 아동과 그 가족을 대상으로 신체·건강, 인지·언어, 정서·행동 등 전방위적 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 특히 올해는 언어 평가 및 진단 검사를 새롭게 실시해 언어 바우처 연계 사업을 강화하는 등 아동 발달 단계에 따른 전문적인 지원을 더욱 확대할 방침이다.
