[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 20일 농업기술센터에서 2026년 가축방역협의회를 열고 ‘가축전염병 제로’를 슬로건으로 방역 행정의 실효성과 투명성 강화를 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이날 협의회에는 조해숙 농업기술센터 소장을 비롯해 축산 관련 기관·단체 대표 13명이 참석해 가축전염병 예방을 위한 방역 대책을 논의했다.
회의는 경남도 동물위생시험소와 진주축협 등 전문가 의견을 반영해 소독과 예방에 필요한 방역약품 38종을 최종 선정했다.
진주시는 올해 9개 방역사업에 6억8500만원을 투입해 오는 3월부터 백신과 예방약품을 축산농가에 신속히 공급할 계획이다.
공동방제단은 소규모·취약농가와 전통시장 등을 대상으로 연 24회 소독을 실시하고, 전업농가에는 약품을 지원해 일제 소독의 날을 운영한다.
진주시는 고병원성 조류인플루엔자와 아프리카돼지열병 확산에 대응해 선제적 차단방역을 강화하며 가축전염병 예방에 행정력을 집중하고 있다.
