프로젝트가 시행된 작년 첫해에는 고장 발생 가능성이 높은 설비를 중심으로 약 300억 원을 투자해 재질 업그레이드 및 노후 설비 교체 등 주요 개선을 완료했다. 그 결과, 2025년 기준 비상 가동정지(Shutdown)및 경고 발생 건수가 전년 대비 50% 이하로 감소하는 성과를 거두며 프로젝트의 실질적인 효과를 증명했다.
HD현대오일뱅크 관계자는 “정유공장은 일반 제조업과 달리 24시간 가동되는 만큼, 경쟁력의 핵심은 안정적인 가동 능력에 있다”며 “주요 설비에 대한 선제적 업그레이드를 지속 추진해 공정 운영의 신뢰도를 한층 높여가겠다”고 말했다.
