(사)한국쌀전업농 진천군연합회는 일회성 행사에 그치지 않고 매년 정기적으로 쌀 기부를 이어오며 지역사회의 든든한 버팀목 역할을 하고 있다.
김재인 회장은 “이번 기탁이 춥고 어려운 시기에 힘든 시간을 보내고 있는 이웃들에게 작은 위로와 희망이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 나눔 활동을 통해 지역사회와 상생하도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, (사)한국쌀전업농 진천군연합회는 진천군 쌀 농업을 보호하고 발전시키며, 국가 식량 주권을 확보하고 식량 안보 강화, 농업인의 권익을 도모하고자 설립된 단체로 약 176명이 회원으로 활동하고 있다.
