[Break News Dongducheon=Reporter Kim Wan-young] Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced an open recruitment for members of the "Dongducheon City Youth Council" to encourage youth participation in policymaking and develop effective youth policies.
Young people appointed to the Youth Council will work across four divisions: Policy and Public Relations, Housing and Welfare, Employment and Entrepreneurship, and Culture and Arts. They will directly incorporate youth voices into city administration, develop and monitor youth policy agendas, and participate in city administration and public relations activities.
Recruitment is open to young people aged 19 to 39 who reside in Dongducheon City or are employed or enrolled in a city-based workplace or school. Anyone with an interest in youth policy and youth activities is welcome to apply.
The recruitment period runs from January 15th to January 29th, and final selections will be made after a document review. The term of office is two years, with reappointment possible upon review. Meanwhile, a city official stated, "The Youth Council aims to increase policy awareness by encouraging young people to actively participate in city administration.
