[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시가 전통적인 '사랑방' 수준이었던 경로당을 디지털 기술이 접목된 스마트 공간으로 탈바꿈시키며 시니어 복지의 대전환을 선포했다.
21일 마산합포구 신월여성경로당에서 열린 스마트경로당 현판식에는 창원시 기획조정실장과 대한노인회 마산지회 관계자들이 참석한 가운데, 화상회의 시스템을 활용한 시범 프로그램이 진행됐다.
창원시 내 40개 경로당의 어르신 500여 명이 각자의 경로당에서 스마트 TV 화면을 통해 동시 접속했다. 어르신들은 비대면으로 인사를 나누고 노래교실과 건강 체조에 참여하며 '디지털 소통'의 즐거움을 만끽했다.
스마트경로당은 ‘데이터 기반 건강관리’를 접목했다. 경로당 내 구축된 스마트 헬스케어 시스템은 △어르신이 경로당에 비치된 기기로 혈압, 혈당, 체온을 측정한다. △측정된 데이터는 시스템에 자동 저장되어 어르신별 건강 이력으로 관리된다. △데이터는 관할 보건소와 공유되어, 이상 징후가 있거나 지속적인 관리가 필요한 경우 전문가의 맞춤형 지원이 이뤄진다.
