파주시가 지역 자본의 역외 유출을 막고 지역경제 활성화를 위한 '파주형 지역공공은행' 설립에 속도를 내고 있다.
파주시는 지난 21일 '파주형 지역공공은행 추진 모델 수립 연구용역' 중간보고회를 열고, 연구 진행 현황과 향후 추진 방향을 공유했다고 밝혔다.
이번 중간보고회는 연구용역을 통해 도출된 분석 결과를 바탕으로 파주시 여건에 맞는 지역공공은행 추진 모델의 방향성과 단계적 접근 체계를 정리하기 위해 마련됐다.

특히 이번 연구는 특별법 제정 이후의 지역공공은행 설립 모델뿐만 아니라, 현행 제도 내에서 우선 적용할 수 있는 공공금융 기능을 중심으로 단계별 추진 전략을 마련한다는 점에서 주목된다.
