브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT&G복지재단이 인도네시아 보고르와 파수루안 지역에 ‘상상위더스’ 단원 60여 명을 파견해 오는 27일까지 봉사활동을 펼친다.
상상위더스는 KT&G복지재단이 2005년부터 운영해온 대학생 해외봉사단으로, 올해까지 총 60차례에 걸쳐 약 2000명을 인도네시아, 몽골 등 국가에 파견, 교육 인프라 구축 등 생활환경 개선에 노력해왔다.
이번 봉사단은 인도네시아 보고르 지역의 ‘비나 방사 세자테라 플러스’ 초등학교와 파수루안 지역의 ‘엘까나’ 학교에서 도서관 및 화장실 건축, 도색봉사 등 교육환경 개선 활동을 진행한다. 한국 봉사단이 주도하는 문화수업 등 교육봉사도 실시할 예정이다.
이 외에도 현지 학생들과 함께하는 운동회와 단체공연 등 다양한 문화교류 프로그램을 직접 기획하고 실시할 계획이다.
KT&G복지재단 관계자는 “지난 20여 년 동안 베트남, 미얀마 등 교육환경 개선이 필요한 해외 지역에서 봉사활동을 지속해왔다”며 “앞으로도 글로벌 기업시민으로서 국내외 어려운 이웃들을 지원하기 위한 다양한 활동을 전개해 나갈 것이다”고 전했다.
