파주시 금촌2동은 지난 20일 제6기 지역사회보장협의체 위촉식 및 2026년 제1차 정기회의를 개최하고, 위촉된 위원 18명 전원이 참석한 가운데 지역 복지 증진을 위한 새로운 출발을 알렸다.

이날 회의에서는 제6기 협의체를 이끌어갈 임원진 구성도 함께 마무리됐다.
위원장에는 정병한 위원이, 부위원장에는 이금옥 위원이 각각 선출됐으며, 김주원 감사와 김은영 총무는 연임돼 협의체 운영의 안정성과 연속성이 확보됐다.
금촌2동 지역사회보장협의체는 민관 협력을 기반으로 복지 사각지대를 발굴하고, 지역 실정에 맞는 맞춤형 복지사업을 추진하는 주민 중심의 협의체다.
협의체는 올해에도 금이동네 수호천사를 통한 복지 사각지대 발굴을 비롯해 금이동네 사랑나눔가게 운영, 사랑가득한 식품꾸러미 나눔, 행복수레 사랑을 싣고 등 기존 특화사업을 지속적으로 추진하며 취약계층 지원에 힘쓸 계획이다.
특히 올해는 변화하는 복지 수요에 대응하기 위해 신규 사업을 대폭 강화하며 민관 의료기관과 연계해 취약계층의 건강 관리를 지원하는 금이건강버팀목 사업을 추진하고, 사고나 질병 등으로 일시적으로 거동이 불편해진 주민들에게 휠체어 등 보조기구를 지원하는 금이동네 맞춤형 보조기구 지원 사업도 새롭게 시행할 예정이다.
강영도 금촌2동장은 “2026년에도 복지 사각지대를 선제적으로 발굴하고, 금촌2동만의 차별화된 복지 모델을 구축해 나가겠다”며 “따뜻한 지역사회를 만들어 가기 위한 지역사회보장협의체의 활동에 주민 여러분의 많은 관심과 응원을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
