고양특례시 일산서구보건소는 지난 21일 일산가구공단에서 재가한센인을 위한 피부질환 무료 이동검진을 진행했다.

이번 진료는 가톨릭대학교 서울성모병원 한센병연구소 의료진과 협력하여 추진됐다.
무료 이동진료는 두 달에 한 번씩 경의로에 위치한 일산가구공단에서 정기적으로 실시되었으며 현장에는 고양시 주민뿐만 아니라 인근 시군 거주 주민들도 참여하여 피부질환 관련 검진을 받았다.
특히 보건소는 세계 한센병의 날을 기념하여 한센병에 대한 올바른 정보를 전달하고 사회적 인식을 개선하기 위한 캠페인도 병행하였고 한센병 바로알기 퀴즈를 비롯해 말라리아와 결핵 예방 수칙, 무료 노인결핵검진 안내 등 감염병 예방을 위한 홍보 활동이 다각도로 이루어졌다.
일산서구보건소 관계자는 한센병 예방과 피부질환 관리를 위해 앞으로도 무료 이동진료를 지속적으로 운영할 계획이며, 이를 통해 시민들이 건강한 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 기여하겠다고 밝혔다.
