파주시가 고농도 미세먼지가 빈발하는 겨울철을 맞아 시민 생활권 중심의 집중 관리에 나섰다.
시는 오는 3월까지 시행되는 '미세먼지 계절관리제'를 통해 평상시보다 강화된 저감 대책을 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
미세먼지 계절관리제는 고농도 미세먼지가 자주 발생하는 12월부터 이듬해 3월까지 강화된 미세먼지 저감 대책을 시행하는 제도로, 2019년 도입됐다.
시는 계절관리제 기간 동안 교통량이 많고 미세먼지 발생 우려가 큰 주요 도로를 집중관리도로로 지정했다.

금촌 가나무로를 비롯한 16개 주요 도로, 편도 총 29.5km 구간에 대해 노면청소차를 매일 투입해 도로 재비산먼지 저감에 주력하고 있다.
특히 출퇴근 시간대와 생활권 인접 구간을 고려한 맞춤형 청소를 실시해 시민 체감도를 높이는 데 집중하고 있다.
시는 또 미세먼지 고농도 발생 시 신속 대응을 위해 관계 부서 간 협업 체계를 강화했다.
도로 관리와 함께 생활 주변 배출원 관리, 시민 건강 보호 대책도 병행 추진 중이다.
조윤옥 기후위기대응과장은 "계절관리제는 겨울철 미세먼지 저감을 위한 핵심 제도"라며 "집중관리도로 선정 운영 등 현장 중심의 대책을 통해 실질적인 저감 효과를 높이고 있다"고 설명했다.
