이재명 대통령이 23일 "대한민국 기업들이 제대로 평가 받으면 첫째로 국민 모두 재산이 늘어나는 것"이라고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 울산전시컨벤션센터에서 열린 '울산의 마음을 듣다' 타운홀 미팅 모두 발언에서 "어제 주가지수가 5000 포인트를 돌파했다고 다들 기뻐하기도, 칭찬해 주기도 했다"며 이같이 말했다. 이번 경우 정부 출범 후 광주·대전·부산·강원·대구·경기북부·충남에 이어 8번째다

또 "국민의 더 나은 삶을 만들어달라고 여러분들이 세금내고 정치인들 뽑아 월급 주고 그러는 거 아니겠나"라며 "결국 먹고사는 문제가 제일 중요한 것 같다"고 했다.
이어 "너무 집중이 심해지다 보니 울산조차도 서울에 빨려들어가게 됐고, 다른 지역은 말할 것도 없다"며 "대기업·중소기업 격차도 심해지고 일자리도 좋은 일자리는 정말 좋다는데 정말 소수며 대부분 일자리 질은 떨어졌다"고 했다.
더불어 "이젠 지방 분권·균형성장이란 게 양보·배려가 아닌 국가 생존전략이 됐다"며 "그런 면에서 울산 포함 지방 분권·자치 강화·지방 발전도 중요 화두가 됐다"고 했다.
