경주시는 26일 경상북도 택시 운임·요율 기준에 따라 택시 운임·요율 조정을 시행한다고 밝혔다. 이번 조정은 경상북도 물가대책위원회 심의를 거쳐 확정된 기준으로, 오는 2월 1일부터 경주시 전 지역에 적용된다.
조정안에 따르면 택시 기본요금은 기존 4,000원에서 4,500원으로 인상되며, 기본요금 적용 거리는 2㎞에서 1.7㎞로 조정된다. 거리운임은 기존 131ｍ당 100원에서 128ｍ당 100원으로, 시간운임은 시속 15㎞ 이하 주행 시 31초당 100원에서 30초당 100원으로 각각 변경된다.
다만 심야할증(오후 11시부터 다음 날 오전 4시까지), 시계외 할증 및 복합할증 요금은 현행 기준을 그대로 유지한다.
경주시는 이번 운임·요율 조정이 택시 운송 여건 변화에 대응하고, 안정적인 운행 환경을 유지하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 아울러 시행에 앞서 읍·면·동 현수막 게시와 전광판 안내, 이·통장 회의 등을 통해 시민 대상 홍보를 진행할 계획이다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “이번 택시 운임·요율 조정은 경북도 기준을 반영해 관련 절차에 따라 추진된 사항”이라며 “시행 과정에서 시민 불편이나 혼선이 발생하지 않도록 사전 안내와 홍보에 만전을 기하겠다”고 말했다.
