박 대변인은 “이해찬 전 총리는 독재에 맞선 민주화운동의 최전선에서 시대를 견디고, 민주정부 수립과 정당의 성장을 위해 평생을 바친 민주주의의 산증인이자 책임정치의 구현자였다”고 평가했다.
