[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 3월부터 김해형 대중교통 무료화 정책인 ‘김해패스’를 본격 운영한다고 26일 밝혔다.
김해패스는 시민들이 이용한 대중교통 요금을 지역화폐인 제로페이(김해사랑상품권)로 환급해주는 사업으로, 2026년에는 1단계로 청소년 시내버스 이용요금부터 지원을 추진한다.
올해 지원대상은 김해시에 거주하는 만 13세부터 18세까지 청소년으로, 김해시 외국인과 국내거소 신고가 된 외국국적동포 청소년도 포함된다.
일반 시내버스 기준 월 40회 한도 내에서 최대 3만7,000원까지 지원되며, 월 5,000원의 자부담금을 제외한 금액은 다음 달 제로페이(김해사랑상품권)로 환급된다.
김해패스는 3월부터 김해시 누리집에서 신청할 수 있으며, 기존에 사용하던 교통카드를 등록해 이용하면 된다.
3월 신청자의 경우, 올해 1월부터 3월까지 사용한 시내버스 이용요금이 소급해 환급된다.
환급금은 버스 이용 다음 달 휴대전화에 김해사랑상품권 형태로 발송되며, 제로페이 앱에 등록한 뒤 6개월 이내 사용해야 한다.
가맹점 등 자세한 사용처는 시 누리집에서 확인할 수 있다.
시는 원활한 사업 추진을 위해 2월부터 3월까지 집중 홍보기간을 운영해 청소년과 보호자 등을 대상으로 사업을 적극 안내하고, 민원콜센터를 운영해 대상자들이 불편 없이 신청할 수 있도록 지원할 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “김해패스는 교통비 부담을 덜어주는 동시에 대중교통 이용을 확대하고, 지역화폐 사용을 통해 지역경제 활성화로 이어질 수 있는 지역 상생형 교통복지정책”이라며 “사업이 안정적으로 정착될 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다.
