브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점그룹이 설 명절을 앞두고 중소 협력사들의 결제대금을 조기 지급한다. 내수 위축이 장기화하고 고금리와 고물가 기조가 지속되는 영향으로 자금 운영에 어려움을 겪는 협력사들의 부담을 덜어주기 위해서다.
현대백화점그룹은 그룹 계열사와 거래하는 9000여 중소 협력사의 결제대금 2332억원을 설 연휴 전인 2월 10일에 지급한다고 27일 밝혔다. 이는 당초 지급일보다 최대 10일 앞당긴 것이다.
이번 조기 지급 대상은 현대백화점과 거래하는 2100여 곳을 비롯해, 현대지에프홀딩스·현대홈쇼핑·현대그린푸드·현대리바트·한섬·현대에버다임·대원강업·현대바이오랜드·현대퓨처넷·현대면세점·현대L&C·지누스·현대드림투어·현대이지웰 등 14개 계열사와 거래하는 6900여 곳 등 총 9000여 개 중소 협력사들이다.
현대백화점그룹 관계자는 “설 명절을 앞둔 시기에는 직원 상여금 등 각종 비용 지출이 늘어나는데다, 경기 회복세가 더디고 금융비용 부담이 지속되면서 유동성 확보가 중요한 협력사들의 자금 운영에 도움이 될 수 있기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 중소 협력사와 상생 협력을 위한 다양한 지원 프로그램을 마련해 나갈 방침이다”고 말했다.
한편, 현대백화점그룹은 중소 협력사의 원활한 자금 운영을 돕기 위한 지원 제도를 꾸준히 운영하고 있다. 현대백화점은 2014년부터 중소 협력사를 대상으로 연간 60억원 규모의 무이자 대출 제도를 운영 중이며, 현대홈쇼핑은 2013년부터 중소기업 대상으로 상품이나 기술 개발에 필요한 자금을 무상으로 지원하고 있다.
