의정부시는 ‘100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기’ 운동이 막바지를 향해가는 가운데, 기업과 단체, 종교계 등 각계각층의 기부 행렬이 줄을 잇고 있다고 밝혔다.
먼저 송산2동에서는 지역 소상공인의 통 큰 기부가 눈길을 끌었다. 송산2동주민센터에 따르면, 지난 26일 현대자동차 블루핸즈 민락점 이종관 대표가 성금 200만 원을 쾌척했다.
이종관 대표는 지난 2024년부터 매년 200만 원씩 꾸준히 성금을 기탁해오며 지역사회 나눔 문화 확산에 앞장서고 있다. 이 대표는 “지역사회가 함께 따뜻해지길 바라는 마음으로 작은 정성을 보태고 있다”며 “앞으로도 이웃들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 나눔을 이어가겠다”고 전했다. 황보경 송산2동장은 “한결같은 이웃사랑을 실천해 주시는 이 대표님께 깊이 감사드리며, 성금은 복지 사각지대 이웃들을 위해 소중히 사용하겠다”고 화답했다.

의정부2동에서는 환경 보호와 나눔을 동시에 실천한 사례가 전해졌다. 의정부시지속가능발전협의회 유재복 회장은 지난 27일 의정부2동주민센터를 찾아 ‘그린리더 아나바다 나눔장터’ 수익금 40만 2천 원을 기탁했다. 이번 성금은 주민들이 자발적으로 참여한 자원순환 활동을 통해 마련된 것으로, 탄소중립 실천이 이웃 돕기로 이어진 모범 사례로 평가받는다.

고산동에서는 연탄 나눔으로 온기를 전했다. 고산동주민센터는 지난 25일 서울 염광교회 김효원 목사와 지역 내 고산제일교회가 협력하여 고산동 빼벌마을 에너지 취약계층 4가구에 연탄 1,000장을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 이날 봉사에는 염광교회 성도 40여 명이 직접 참여해 구슬땀을 흘리며 안부를 살폈다.
