사단법인 중국동포한마음연합총회가 창립 20주년을 맞아 지난 25일 서울 구로구 엘컨벤션에서 기념식과 2026년 신년회를 열고, 동포사회 권익 증진과 공동체 발전의 새로운 도약을 다짐했다.
이날 행사에는 회원과 내외빈 등 350여 명이 참석해 “한마음으로 걸어온 20년, 한마음으로 열어갈 미래”라는 슬로건 아래 연합총회의 지난 발자취를 돌아보고 향후 비전을 공유했다.
기념식에는 조국혁신당 차규근 국회의원, 더불어민주당 김민석 의원실 김영우 지역보좌관, 장인홍 구로구청장, 재외동포청 이기성 정책국장, 중화인민공화국 주한대사관 중훙눠 공사함참찬 겸 총영사를 비롯해 서울시·구의회 의원, 동포단체 대표, 동포 언론 관계자 등 정·관·외교 주요 인사들이 대거 참석해 동포사회 공동체의 위상을 보여줬다.

김세광 총회장은 개회사에서 “오늘은 단순한 기념의 자리가 아니라, 연합총회가 걸어온 20년을 되돌아보고 앞으로의 20년을 새롭게 다짐하는 출발점”이라며 “더 체계적인 조직으로, 더 신뢰받는 공익단체로 성장해 동포사회와 대한민국 사회를 잇는 중심 연합체로 도약하겠다”고 밝혔다.
주요 내빈들도 축사를 통해 동포사회 통합과 상생의 가치에 주목했다.
차규근 의원은 “연합총회가 지난 20년간 동포 권익 보호와 사회통합에 기여해 온 점에 깊은 존경을 표한다”고 밝혔다.
중훙눠 총영사는 “연합총회는 지역사회에 뿌리내리며 공동체 발전과 권익 보호에 큰 역할을 해왔다”고 평가했으며, 장인홍 구로구청장도 “중국동포는 이제 구로 지역사회에 없어서는 안 될 중요한 구성원”이라고 강조했다.
이기성 재외동포청 정책국장은 “20년은 새로운 도약을 준비하기에 가장 좋은 시기”라며 “초심을 잃지 않고 더 큰 미래를 준비하는 단체로 성장하길 바란다”고 말했다.
연합총회는 창립 20주년을 맞아 설립 배경과 주요 사업, 산하단체 활동, 향후 비전을 담은 『창립 20주년 기념 백서』를 공식 출간해 참석자들에게 배포했다.
또한 산하단체 한마음장학회를 통해 초·중·고·대학생 7명에게 장학증서를 수여하고 장학금을 전달하며 차세대 인재 양성 의지를 실천했다.
행사에서는 역대 회장단과 고문단에 대한 공로패 수여도 이어졌으며, 창립 초기부터 헌신해 온 이주헌 고문에게는 특별공로패가 증정돼 큰 박수를 받았다.

2부에서는 산하단체가 참여한 장기자랑과 축하공연이 이어지며 축제 분위기가 더해졌고, TV조선 ‘미스트롯4’ 출연 가수 전하윤이 피날레를 장식했다.
연합총회와 장학회는 전하윤 가수에게 특별장학금을 전달하며 의미를 더했다.
중국동포한마음연합총회는 2006년 한마음축구단 설립을 기점으로 출범해 현재 봉사·산악·여성·장학 등 10개 산하단체로 성장했으며, 연구소와 효심회, 상공인협회 등 신규 조직도 태동하고 있다.
또한 동포단체 간 연대의 흐름도 이어지고 있다.
오는 29일 국회의원회관 제1소회의실에서 ‘중국동포단체협의회 출범식’이 개최될 예정으로, 동포사회 상생과 협력의 새로운 구심점이 될지 주목된다.
