고양국제박람회재단과 글로스터호텔그룹이 지난 22일 글로스터호텔 킨텍스에서 고양시 MICE 산업 활성화 및 상호 협력체계 구축을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 박람회와 MICE 행사의 안정적인 운영을 도모하고 고양시 전시·컨벤션 분야의 경쟁력을 강화해 지역경제 활성화를 견인하기 위해 마련됐다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 재단 주관 행사의 공식 호텔 지정 및 서비스 제공, 온오프라인 채널을 활용한 공동 마케팅 및 프로모션, 박람회 참관객과 관계자를 위한 호텔 시설 이용 혜택 제공 등 방문객 편의 증진을 위한 다양한 협력 과제를 수행한다.
특히 양측은 박람회 콘텐츠와 숙박을 결합한 연계 패키지 상품을 기획해 당일 방문 중심의 수요를 체류형으로 확장할 계획이며 또한 지역 관광 및 박람회 산업 발전을 위한 정보 공유와 네트워킹을 강화해 고양시 MICE 생태계의 지속 가능한 성장 기반을 다질 방침이다.
